The Hippo is a fine art print of a watercolor painting of a hippopotamus traveling through water. It is printed on quality 100% cotton velvet paper, and printed and fulfilled by the company Luma Prints. This print comes in two sizes and has a .25" white border around the sides (sizes are approximate).

The Hippo was a painting originally made as a gift for my father as a companion to a piece I made when I was a child. When I was around 8 years old, one day at school, I made a "mosaic" with cut up blue construction paper that vaguely resembled a hippo for a father's day gift. Even 13 years later, that haphazard-hippopotamus still hung on the walls of his hallway. I made this piece as an homage to that original gift I gave him, and now the old and new hippos are displayed side by side in his house.
