Sunset at Kirkham Trail is a painting from a very specific night when I walked along the Kirkham/AMI trail. There was a thunderstorm raging as I was walking, though it was distant, and the whole sky was periodically lit by lightning. At the same time, the sun was setting, coloring the thunderous clouds - and a double rainbow that seemed to grow from the ground upwards - with a stark pink light. I think I might always remember the beauty of this night.
